Legal Reviewer

Alana Reyes, Esq.

Commercial litigator. Reads every contract Zogby scores for what it lets the other side do to you.

Alana Reyes reviews every lender term sheet and relief-firm client agreement before Zogby publishes a score. She flags confession of judgment language, venue and choice-of-law clauses, fee triggers, personal guarantee terms and any claim about legal status that a company cannot back up.

Alana practiced commercial litigation for nine years in New York, including merchant cash advance enforcement and defense matters in the New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division. She has argued both sides of the loan-versus-purchase question that decides most MCA cases.

Her review is independent of Zogby’s editors. She does not score companies; she determines whether the contract facts behind a score are accurate.
