The cabernet sauvignon fruit for this wine are selectively picked during the early days of November. The wine undergoes a 3 day cold soak, followed by a 14 day fermentation after which it is kept on skins for an additional 5 days. The wine is then aged in a combination of stainless steel and French barriques, 10% new oak. Lockwood Monterey Cabernet Sauvignon gives tempting aromas of blackberry, plum, and allspice in the glass. Beautiful flavors of ripe, red berries and tasty nuances of blackcurrant and pepper envelop the palate and carry to an elegantly smooth finish.
