In 1974, Jess Jackson bought an 80-acre pear and walnut orchard and replanted it with chardonnay grape vines in Lake County, just north of Napa Valley. Since that time, making wine has become a tradition which they plan to pass down as an inheritance. This is not just a business for them, it’s a family legacy. “When my family and I founded Kendall-Jackson in 1982, we simply wanted to create extraordinary wine from California’s best vineyards.” -Jess Jackson, Founder, Kendall Jackson Winery. Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows lovely aromas of lush, bright black cherry, blackberry and cassis that lure you in. Round, rich seamless tannins provide a firm backbone and a supple mid-palate. Nuances of cedar, vanilla and a touch of mocha linger on the finish.
