In 1974, Jess Jackson bought an 80-acre pear and walnut orchard and replanted it with chardonnay grape vines in Lake County, just north of Napa Valley. Since that time, making wine has become a tradition which they plan to pass down as an inheritance. Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows lovely aromas of lush, bright black cherry, blackberry and cassis that lure you in. Round, rich seamless tannins provide a firm backbone and a supple mid-palate. Nuances of cedar, vanilla and a touch of mocha linger on the finish.
