David Jelinek joined Faust as winemaker in early 2016. Respected amongst his colleagues for his passion for excellence, attention to detail and high standards –yet someone you’d still want to have a beer or three with –David fit in perfectly with the team at Faust. Believing great winemaking starts in the vineyard, David liaises closely with Vineyard Director Nicole Hayden to create partnerships with the best growers in the Napa Valley. The fruit is sourced from Estate vineyards in Coombsville and Rutherford, as well as mountainside vineyards.The Faust Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of wines made from estate vineyards in Coombsville and Rutherford and mountain sourcing in Atlas Peak, Mount Veeder and Howell Mountain. It is concentrated, yet fresh with juicy blue and black notes. Nuances of dark chocolate and dried herbs seduce the palate while silky tannins and lifting acidity proceed through a layered and lingering finish.
