Political Research
From the beginning, Zogby International has made its reputation for accuracy and timely results doing political research for Media, Candidates, Political Parties, Political Organizations, and Political Action Committees.
We have help these clients determine the feasibility of running for political office, which messages resonate with the public and why, what issues are upper most in the public's mind, and how to attract disaffected voters.
Selected case studies:
- An environmental advocacy organization wanted to gauge the depth of support for environmental issues among the members of a certain political party so that they might present the results to the candidates from that party who were running for President of the United States. We surveyed members of that party in five states to determine environmental consciousness, support for various issues, and support candidates who support or oppose such issues. The results of the survey started a national debate among members of both parties about environmental issues and their impact on the presidential race.
- Various candidates running for high political offices needto know their chances of winning the general election and to which messages the public would most likely respond. We have conducted our trademark "campaign manager" surveys that probe the electorate in-depth with questions about the candidates' strengths and weaknesses and important issues. Using the results from the surveys, the candidates are able to steer their campaign in the direction that will bring them the desired results.
- Zogby International launched a series of "Cultural Polls" designed to examine the perceptions of various ethnic groups about consumer and political issues and stereotypes that concern all of us. Various political and advocacy organizations have purchased questions on the poll that reflect their organization's unique perspective and interests, as well as benefiting from the general information the survey provides. Clients have used the information to direct national political election campaigns, consumer buying habits, change marketing messages, and address organizational problems.
- One of the major political parties wanted to test their message within a particular ethnic group. We conducted a series of focus groups in a number of states. The results provided the party with a strategy for how to implement policies and messages that will appeal to this group.
· A leading consulting firm was interested in finding out what Americans value and testing their commitment to these values. We have and will continue to conduct a series of "Values Polls" to measure attitudes and perceptions on a variety of subjects and issues.
