Business Sector Research
For over 15 years Zogby International has worked with a large range of business clients to help meet their goals. These clients include Media, Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Professionals and Regulated Industries.
We have helped these organizations measure customer satisfaction, community assessments and perceptions, advertising impact and tracking, and workplace measurements. In addition, we have created opportunities for organizations to develop public relations plans to promote their organizations.
Selected case studies:
- A nationally known on-line retailer was looking for a way to increase awareness by releasing public opinion research that would highlight the companies products and draw the readers to the web site. We conducted a nationwide survey and provided a full analysis of the results that the organization is using over an extended period of time. The design of the questions has enabled the company to extend the usefulness of the information and maximize their public relations budget.
- A group of Fortune 500 companies in an ethnically diverse metropolitan city wanted to examine the differences, similarities, issues, etc among different ethnic groups. The objective was to investigate marketing opportunities, marketing messages and issues that would be addressed in each organization's marketing and strategic plans
- A regional utilities company based in New York State was faced with the possibility of a losing the electric power contract to a city owned municipality if voters favored the move. We conducted a survey of customers to determine their level of knowledge of the situation, did they know how much money would be saved, if any?, were they confident that the city would provide reliable uninterrupted service, were they unhappy with the current levels of service? Experts at Zogby International helped the client with a successful strategy that resulted in a defeat of the proposal.
- Communications effectiveness, loyalty tracking, and tracking of cellular related purchases and usage behavior are the objectives of a quarterly tracking survey that we conduct for a cellular phone company client. At the end of each one year period all quarterly data is combined into a "super sample" to look at significant changes over time. The company is now into it's fourth year of quarterly tracking.
- A financial services provider introduced a customer service plan to it's employees with goals and objectives for each office, branch manager, and staff. If all objectives were met, the manager and staff would share in bonus programs based on a rating scale. Zogby International developed a monthly tracking system to identify customer satisfaction among branches, and staff members in each branch. The information was reported quarterly and staff bonuses were distributed based on the results of the surveys.
- To create a long-range strategic plan, a technology-based consulting firm needed to know what the future holds for small to mid-size manufacturing companies. Zogby International worked with the consulting firm to develop a survey that would ultimately lead them into a focused direction to provide services needed by these companies. We asked the companies what they needed to succeed, what kind of help did they need?, did they know where to get help? The firm saved marketing and development dollars by first determining the needs of their potential customers.
