Don't Delay Action On Health Care

Even for Obama supporters, patience is limited.

There will be no lazy days of summer for the Obama White House. Instead, the president wants Congress to pass comprehensive health care reform before members leave for the August recess.

At the same time, the White House must also shepherd Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor through the Senate confirmation gauntlet. This week, Obama rolled out the partial government takeover of GM. Right now, he is in the Middle East, and in Egypt he delivers a much anticipated speech to the Muslim world.
